PETER WROTCHFORD SENTENCED IN FOLKESTONE FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Folkestone, a 47-year-old man named Peter Wrotchford has been handed an 18-year prison sentence after being convicted of heinous crimes involving the sexual assault of a woman. The incident occurred in the early hours of September 4, 2022, and has since become a focal point in ongoing efforts by local authorities to combat violence against women and girls.

According to reports, Wrotchford, who was residing on Ashley Avenue in Folkestone at the time, targeted the victim as she was walking through the Tram Road area of the town around 4am. The woman was subjected to a brutal assault in his vehicle, a white Ford Connect, which was later linked to the crime through police investigations. The assault was described by a Detective from Kent Police as 'despicable,' emphasizing the severity and reprehensible nature of the offense.
