PENSIONER JAILED FOR 10 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES
Peter Lazarides, a 76-year-old from Lawrence Weston, has been sentenced to ten years in prison after being found guilty of numerous child sexual offences.
The case was heard at Bristol Crown Court on Thursday, May 22, where Lazarides was convicted and sentenced on the same day.
His trial, which commenced on May 12, involved 20 allegations.
He was convicted of 16 offences committed between 2017 and 2020 involving four children.
These offences included forcing a child to watch a sexual act, engaging in sexual conduct in front of minors, encouraging children to participate in sexual acts, sexually assaulting children, and exposing himself.
During a three-year period, Lazarides engaged in activities such as showing children pornography, prompting them to perform sexual acts on him, and abusing them sexually.
The initial reports of these incidents emerged in January 2022, with more victims stepping forward in 2024 and 2025.
