PETER HALL OF LEEDS CAUGHT WITH CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN HORRIFIC CRIME SPREE
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Leeds, a man named Peter Hall was arrested after a lengthy period of illegal activity involving indecent images of children.The incident came to light in March 2021 when police in West Yorkshire acted on credible information indicating that Hall had been downloading and viewing such illicit material for an extended period of five years.
Authorities moved swiftly to investigate the allegations, leading to a raid at Hall's residence in Leeds.
During the search, law enforcement officials seized various electronic devices, including a hard drive and other digital storage media, which were found to contain a significant amount of illegal content.
The investigation revealed that Hall had been engaged in this criminal activity since 2014, spanning over five years, until his arrest in February 2019.
According to court proceedings at Leeds Crown Court, the police had traced an internet connection registered in Hall’s name to an illegal image of a child, which served as a crucial piece of evidence linking him to the offences.
The subsequent search of his home uncovered more than 500 illegal images, with five classified as Category A, indicating the most severe level of child exploitation material.

When questioned by authorities, Hall claimed he was unaware of the presence of any indecent images on his computers, a statement that was met with skepticism by the prosecution.
Peter Hall, aged 60 and residing on Midland Road in Hyde Park, pleaded guilty to three charges of making indecent images of children.
His plea was entered during the court proceedings, and he was subsequently sentenced to eight months in prison, though the sentence was suspended for two years.
Additionally, Hall was ordered to complete 20 days of rehabilitation activities aimed at addressing his offending behavior.
Judge Batiste delivered a stern judgment, dismissing Hall’s claim that his actions were non-sexual in nature.
The judge emphasized that the evidence clearly indicated Hall was accessing these images for sexual gratification and that he derived significant satisfaction from viewing such material.
