PETER BOND FROM NORTHAMPTON SENTENCED TO LIFE FOR SADISTIC RAPE AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
In a chilling case that has shocked the community of Northampton, a man named Peter Bond, aged 60, has been handed a life sentence after being convicted of multiple heinous crimes involving sexual abuse and exploitation. Bond, a resident of Churchill Avenue, Lake View, Northampton, was found guilty of carrying out a series of horrific acts that included the rape of a teenage girl, as well as possessing a vast collection of indecent images and extreme pornography. The Northampton Crown Court heard that Bond-Wonneberger, who previously worked as a driving instructor and was a member of the Territorial Army, engaged in a disturbing pattern of sexual violence. He repeatedly forced a young girl to perform perverted and violent sexual acts in front of a camera, filming these acts for his own gratification. Prosecutor Adrienne Lucking described Bond as a “controlling and manipulative” individual who used intimidation and coercion to dominate his victim.
According to court reports, Bond-Wonneberger would compel the girl to strip naked and then tie her hands and feet, further demonstrating the extent of his depravity. When police raided his home, they discovered seven videotapes containing recordings of 16 separate rapes. In addition to these recordings, investigators found over 200 indecent images of children, along with other extreme pornographic DVDs and photographs, highlighting the extent of his illegal collection.
The impact of Bond’s actions on his victim was profound. Ms. Lucking stated that the young girl had been left feeling suicidal, having attempted to take her own life due to the trauma inflicted upon her. She remains deeply affected by the abuse, avoiding social interactions and feeling unworthy of happiness, illustrating the long-lasting psychological scars left by Bond’s crimes.
Bond-Wonneberger pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including rape, making and possessing indecent photographs of children, and possessing an image of bestiality. He also admitted to five additional charges related to offences committed against a teenage boy during the 1980s. His guilty pleas led to his sentencing, which was handed down by Judge Rupert Mayo.
Judge Mayo described Bond’s behaviour as “sick, sadistic and depraved,” emphasizing that the word “depraved” did not fully capture the extent of his actions. The judge condemned Bond’s perverse and psychopathic tendencies, warning that he remains a danger to society. Bond was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 11 years, meaning he must serve at least five and a half years before being eligible for parole. The court’s verdict underscores the severity of his crimes and the lasting harm inflicted upon his victims, leaving a stark reminder of the dangers posed by such individuals in the Northampton community.
