PEDRO EVANGELOU'S HORRIFIC CRIME IN ISLINGTON: TEEN LOCKED AND RAPED IN DEVIL-WORSHIPPING FLAT

In January 2017, a disturbing case unfolded in the London borough of Islington, where a man named Pedro Evangelou was convicted of heinous crimes involving a teenage girl. Evangelou, who openly identifies as a Luciferian and describes himself as a 'devil-worshipper,' committed a series of brutal acts that shocked the local community and drew widespread condemnation.

The incident began after Evangelou met a 19-year-old woman at a nightclub located in Angel, a well-known area within Islington. Following their encounter, Evangelou invited her to his residence on Pembroke Street. He arrived at the nightclub on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and during police interviews, he explained that he had brought an extra helmet, supposedly in case he met someone that night.

Once at his flat, Evangelou subjected the young woman to a prolonged and harrowing ordeal. He forcibly raped her and engaged in sexual assault, all while keeping her confined within his home. To prevent her from escaping, Evangelou took the extreme step of placing a plank of wood across a door, effectively locking her inside. The flat itself was reportedly dedicated to Satan, with a room specifically devoted to Satanic symbols and themes, reflecting Evangelou’s self-professed beliefs.

The victim endured this terrifying experience until she managed to find a way to call for help. She located a window in the flat and mouthed the words “help, phone police” to a passing member of the public. Her quick thinking and courage allowed her to escape from the flat, after which she ran onto the street. Bystanders and police officers responded swiftly, providing her with immediate assistance and ensuring her safety.

Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and arrested Evangelou. Throughout his police interview and subsequent trial, Evangelou maintained that the sexual activity was consensual. However, the court found sufficient evidence to convict him of rape and sexual assault in November of the same year.

On Friday, January 20, Evangelou was sentenced to nine years in prison for the charge of rape. Additionally, he received a one-year sentence for sexual assault. The sentences are to run concurrently, meaning he will serve the nine-year term in full. This case has left a lasting impact on the community in Islington, highlighting the dangers of predatory behavior and the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable individuals from harm.
