NORFOLK MAN JAILED FOR NINE COUNTS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AGAINST TEENAGE GIRL
A man named Paul John Britton, aged 56, of Walnut Close in Foulden near Swaffham, was sentenced to nine years in prison for nine counts of sexual assault that occurred between 2007 and 2010 against a teenage girl.The offenses took place in Wirral and North Wales.
Britton was convicted and subsequently sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on February 6, 2020.
Additionally, he was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life.
The police reported that the offenses were brought to light following an investigation launched after the reports in January 2018.
Detective constable Kevin Thomas commented on the case, emphasizing the victim's courage and the police's commitment to treating all allegations with sensitivity.
He also urged other victims to come forward, indicating that there is help available through Merseyside Police and support groups.
