PAUL DAVIS FROM SOUTHAMPTON FACES SEXUAL ACTIVITY CHARGES INVOLVING TEENAGE GIRL
Paul Davis, aged 48 and residing on Manor Road North in Southampton, has been formally charged with three counts of engaging in sexual activity with a girl under the age of 16. These serious allegations are linked to incidents that reportedly occurred during 2021 and 2022, involving a teenage girl. Davis's background includes employment as a teacher at St Anne's Catholic School and Sixth Form College located in Southampton, which has become a focal point of ongoing investigations into child sexual abuse.He is scheduled to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates Court on the 8th of April to face these charges. The case has garnered significant attention, as authorities continue to probe allegations of misconduct at the school. The investigation into child sexual abuse at St Anne's has already led to the arrest and charging of other individuals associated with the institution.
In a related development, Davis becomes the third individual connected to the school to face legal proceedings. Previously, in December 2024, James Rouse, also aged 48 and the former headteacher of St Anne's, was charged with sexual activity involving a child. Rouse has entered a plea of not guilty, and his trial is scheduled to commence on 3 November 2025.
Additionally, Edward Waller, aged 65 and a former teacher at the same school, was charged with serious offenses including rape, abuse of a position of trust, and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. These incidents are alleged to have taken place between 2004 and 2006. Waller has also pleaded not guilty, with his trial set for 17 November 2025.
As the investigation unfolds, police have confirmed that there is at least one more former teacher under scrutiny as part of this ongoing inquiry into abuse allegations at St Anne's Catholic School in Southampton. The authorities continue to pursue all leads to ensure justice for the victims and to address the broader issues of safeguarding within the educational institution.
