PAUL ANDREWS FROM ORMSGILL AND BARROW INDICTED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES

In October 2007, a disturbing case emerged involving Paul Gordon Andrews, a man with a history of sexual offences against children, who had recently moved to the town of Barrow, specifically residing in the Ormsgill area. Andrews, aged 41, was found to have engaged in a series of heinous acts involving young boys, which ultimately led to his arrest and subsequent court proceedings.

The allegations against Andrews came to light when a vigilant school teacher overheard a conversation between two young boys. Recognizing that something was amiss, the teacher promptly contacted both police authorities and social services to investigate the matter further. It was revealed that Andrews had been living at a flat located in Meetings View, Ormsgill.
