September 2017 Barrow man in court for breaching Sex Offender’s Register A sex offender has appeared in court after failing to tell authorities he had moved house. Alex Andrew Shuttleworth, of Barrow, appeared at Furness Magistrates’ Court on September 13 where he pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the notification requirements of the Sex Offenders Register, on May 20 and June 15. The 19-year-old was given a community order and must complete 60 hours of unpaid work within a 12 month period. He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £85.
