The conviction marks a troubling chapter in Gates' life, highlighting a pattern of disturbing behavior that has now led to his being branded a 'broken man' by the court.Gates faced multiple charges related to the possession and distribution of indecent images of children. Over a period of nearly two years, authorities discovered that he had downloaded more than 600 illicit videos and photographs depicting minors in sexualized situations. These illegal materials were found stored on various devices in his bedroom, including an iPod, a memory stick, and a hard drive used between April 19, 2012, and March 2, 2015. The police raid on his residence took place on March 10, 2015, revealing the extent of his illicit collection.
