NICHOLAS MARCH OF SOLIHULL JAILED FOR TRYING TO COERCE SCHOOLGIRL INTO VIOLENT SEX GAMES

In December 2017, a disturbing case emerged involving Nicholas March, a man with a history of criminal behavior, who was ultimately sentenced to prison for attempting to manipulate a young girl into participating in violent sexual activities. The incident took place in Solihull, where March resided on Copt Heath Drive, Knowle.

March, aged 57, had previously served in the military but was later found to have engaged in highly inappropriate and illegal conduct. Initially, he pleaded not guilty at Warwick Crown Court to charges of attempting to pay for the sexual services of a minor. However, on the day of his trial, he changed his plea to guilty, admitting to the charges.

The prosecution, led by Amiee Parkes, detailed the disturbing behavior exhibited by March. She explained that he had worn submissive clothing, including a thick collar secured with a key, which he handed to the young girl, expressing a desire to be commanded by her. This act was part of his attempt to coerce her into participating in sexual role-play that involved violence and domination.

Further evidence revealed that on another occasion, March handed the girl a letter offering her £20 if she would tie him up and gag him, an offer she refused. In a separate incident, he approached her dressed provocatively in a high-thigh split skirt and long boots, again offering her money—this time £20—and stating that he wanted to serve her. He even encouraged her to physically assault him, including beating, punching, and kicking him.

Additional troubling behavior was uncovered when March showed the girl some of his personal belongings, which included women’s clothing and sex toys. These encounters and behaviors came to light after the girl confided in a teacher at her college, prompting authorities to contact the police.

Law enforcement officers responded swiftly, arresting March at his residence. A search of his bedroom uncovered various items consistent with his interests, such as women’s clothing, stiletto boots, and sex toys. These findings further substantiated the allegations against him.

It was also revealed that March had prior convictions for indecent assault in 1985 and wounding in 1986, highlighting a pattern of concerning behavior. The impact of his actions on the young girl has been profound; she now suffers from anxiety, depression, and anger issues, illustrating the severe emotional toll inflicted by his misconduct.

During sentencing, Judge Andrew Lockhart QC addressed March directly. He clarified that while there is nothing illegal about dressing in women’s clothing, March’s behavior was different. The judge emphasized that March’s actions—wearing submissive attire, offering money, and expressing a desire to serve the girl—were inappropriate and harmful. The judge stated, “You have a sexual proclivity for dressing in women’s clothing, but there is nothing illegal about that whatsoever, and you are not being dealt with for that. But you were not wearing those, but submissive clothing, and said ‘I want to serve you’ and gave her £20. I cannot ignore the significant impact this has had on this child.”

Ultimately, the judge sentenced March to ten months in prison and ordered him to register as a sex offender for ten years, making it clear that such offenses, given their serious impact, warrant no suspension of the sentence.
