June 2017 Yeovil chef who sexually assaulted two teens is sentenced A chef has been sentenced for fondling and trying to kiss two teenage girls while working at the Prince of Wales pub on Ham Hill near Stoke-sub-Hamdon. Neil Patrick, 44, of Tudor Court, Yeovil, appeared in the dock before Judge David Ticehurst at Taunton Crown Court today, after admitting two counts of sexual assault and one of common assault. Prosecuting, William Hunter told the court Patrick had groped one of the girls, and tried to kiss and grope the second victim. As she tried to turn her head away from him, he said: “This is nice, isn’t it?” In a victim impact statement, one of his victims said his actions had left her shocked and upset, and found it difficult to trust men. Sentencing Patrick to a 12-month community order, Judge Ticehurst told him: “As a result of drinking, you have caused all sorts of problems – particularly to the girls you targetted. The last thing any young girl – or any woman of any age – wants is for someone like you groping and fondling them, when they don’t want to be touched.”
