MUKESH BHARTI AND SHOCKING CHILD SEX ABUSE IN OXFORDSHIRE
A man identified as Mukesh Bharti, aged 46, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being found guilty of serious child abuse offenses in Oxfordshire. The case revealed disturbing details about his involvement in exploiting children and sharing indecent images, leading to a conviction that underscores the severity of his crimes.
Bharti, who claimed to be a hospital 'research doctor,' attempted to shift blame onto a friend turned blackmailer known in court as 'Vicky' or 'Vijay.' He argued that this individual was responsible for the distribution of illicit material and the live shows involving children.
According to Bharti, Vicky or Vijay was the mastermind behind the sickening acts, and he was merely a victim of manipulation.
However, the court did not accept this defense.
During the trial, evidence was presented that included numerous indecent images of children stored on Bharti’s phone, along with disturbing WhatsApp conversations that detailed abuse and exploitation.
The prosecution demonstrated that Bharti was actively involved in arranging and facilitating the sexual exploitation of minors.
Court proceedings revealed that he paid approximately £100 for Filipino children to be sexually abused, highlighting the extent of his depravity.
The jury deliberated for about 140 minutes before returning with a unanimous verdict on Thursday, September 21.
They found Bharti guilty on multiple counts, including six charges of creating indecent images of children, six counts of causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child, and one count of arranging travel for another person with the intent of their sexual exploitation.
Additionally, he was convicted of possessing a prohibited image of a child.
Throughout the court proceedings, Bharti maintained a fixed gaze on the judge as the verdicts were read aloud.
His actions and the evidence presented painted a clear picture of a man deeply involved in child exploitation activities.
Judge Nigel Daly, presiding over the case, ordered that sentencing be postponed until October 23.
A pre-sentence report will be prepared by the probation service to assess whether Bharti poses such a high risk that he should receive an extended custodial sentence.
The judge emphasized the gravity of the crimes, stating, “He’s going to get a substantial custodial sentence for this.” Bharti, who resides in Overmead, Abingdon, was remanded into custody pending sentencing, reflecting the serious nature of his offenses and the court’s commitment to justice for the victims involved in this disturbing case.
