YORKSHIRE CHILD SEX OFFENDERS JAILED
Five men have been jailed after a teenage girl was trafficked and sexually abused in Yorkshire.Among those convicted was Mohammed Shapal, who was sentenced to four years for sexual activity with a child, a sentence that includes two years concurrent for trafficking.
The court heard that these men subjected the girl to an appalling ordeal, with Rehman being jailed for 12 years for raping her at a hotel.
The judge described Rehman's actions as a 'callous gratuitous rape,' indicating a planned and violent attack.
The sentence details highlight the gravity of each offender's participation, with Amini receiving five and a half years for sexual activity with a child and three years for trafficking, and Rasheed and Shapal each getting four-year sentences for sexual activity with a child.
The girl was taken by Shapal and Rehman in the summer of 2013, and three days later, she was taken to a party hosted by Rasheed, where she was sexually assaulted by Amini.
The judge emphasized that the girl was highly vulnerable and received no protection or care, describing the actions of the offenders as particularly heinous.
Rehman, who was also a convicted drug dealer and burglar, was accused of planning the assault and using her for sex during transportation.
As Rehman was led away, he shouted abuse at the court.
