MILTON BROWN FROM TOTTENHAM REPEATEDLY RAPES WOMEN AND IS JAILED AGAIN IN LONDON

In a disturbing case that highlights a long history of violent sexual offenses, Milton Brown, aged 68, has been sentenced to an additional 16 years in prison following a series of heinous attacks in London. Brown’s criminal record is extensive, with a previous 21-year sentence handed down in 1999 for raping three women, including a former girlfriend who tragically took her own life after enduring his abuse. Despite his early release from prison, Brown’s violent tendencies resurfaced last year when he assaulted another woman, an incident that was captured on CCTV footage showing him cycling away from the scene as the victim fled in terror.

The recent conviction at Wood Green Crown Court includes two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and one count of assault by penetration. Brown had previously claimed to the media that he had reformed, asserting to a journalist from a national newspaper, “I’ve changed,” during an interview in January 2012, shortly after his early release. However, the court’s verdict paints a starkly different picture of a man still capable of violence and predation.

The court heard that on May 2 of the previous year, Brown lured a 29-year-old woman to his residence in Tottenham. The woman testified that she had only intended to stay for about 20 minutes but was unexpectedly detained by Brown, who then subjected her to a brutal assault. During her ordeal, Brown forcibly raped her after drugging her with alcohol and drugs, which he had administered after befriending her at a Hackney supermarket. The victim described feeling as if she was going to die as Brown continued his assault.

Following the attack, Brown displayed a disturbing level of calmness. He offered her some beer and even asked her to try on vintage women’s clothing he kept at his home. The woman, desperate to escape, managed to convince Brown that she needed to buy cigarettes from a nearby shop. As she left, she ran towards a group of men repairing water pipes, shouting that she had been raped. The police were called immediately, and Brown was seen on CCTV cycling away from the scene along Seven Sisters Road, attempting to shield his face with his hand.

Brown’s arrest came shortly after he turned himself in at Stoke Newington Police Station on May 11, once he became aware that law enforcement was actively searching for him. His previous criminal history is deeply troubling, including a notorious case involving his former girlfriend, Susan McDonald. Brown had held Susan captive in his South London flat for three months, during which he sexually abused her and physically assaulted her with a nail-studded plank. Tragically, Susan McDonald died of an overdose in 2008 at the age of 36, unable to endure the torment inflicted by Brown.

During his trial at the Old Bailey, Brown caused further controversy by dismissing his legal team and engaging in prolonged questioning of two of his victims over five days. One of these victims, Sandra Summers, a 38-year-old widow who chose to waive her right to anonymity, described her experience of being “raped again, emotionally, inside that witness box.”

Brown’s criminal activities and subsequent releases have raised serious concerns about the justice system’s handling of violent offenders. After serving 14 years of his previous sentence, he was released and provided with a furnished council flat in Tottenham, North London. Witnesses, including journalists, observed him cycling freely around London without supervision. When approached by the media, Brown arrogantly claimed he deserved his freedom, stating, “I’ve changed,” despite his repeated history of violence and predation.
