DIDCOT MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER HAVING HUNDREDS OF CHILD IMAGES
A paedophile has avoided jail despite admitting to being in possession of hundreds of indecent images of children.Michael Walker, of Stonor Close, Didcot, was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday, October 2.
The 61-year-old previously pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children and three counts of being in possession of indecent images of children.
He made five category A images, 16 category B and 404 category C.
He was in possession of three category A images, 276 category C and 40 prohibited images of children.
Walker also pleaded guilty to failing to comply with notification requirements of being on the sex offenders' register.
He was handed a 20-month prison sentence, suspended for 20 months.
He must also comply with notification requirements indefinitely.
