DIDCOT MAN TO BE SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL COMMUNICATION WITH A CHILD

A sentencing date has been set for a man caught sexually communicating with a child on Snapchat.

Kaine Ellis, 30, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (February 4) charged with one count of engaging in sexual communication with a child between April 11 and April 20, 2023 in Didcot.

Ellis, of Tavistock Avenue, Didcot, was caught messaging a child on a chat site and Snapchat, asking if she had slept with her boyfriend.

He admitted the offence and is now due to be sentenced at the same court on February 21.

His case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared as well as an application for a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The girl cannot be named for legal reasons.
