GREAT YARMOUTH MAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT, ASSAULT ON POLICE, AND THREATS
A man has been sentenced to a total of 32 weeks in jail for multiple crimes including sexual assault, assaulting a police officer, and making threats.
Michael McQueen, aged 37 and residing on Hall Quay in Great Yarmouth, was arrested on 31 May after being found shouting and swearing on Haven Bridge at 02:52 BST.
During his detention at Great Yarmouth Police Station, he spat at an officer.
Later that day, at Norwich Magistrates Court, he admitted to assaulting an officer and committing a public order offence, resulting in a jail term of 28 weeks.
Additionally, he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman at HMP Norwich on 21 December 2023, which earned him an extra four weeks in custody.
McQueen was also involved in an altercation with a police officer on 20 May, an incident that was recorded and shared on social media.
