December 2008 PC paedo nicked A PERVERT computer expert who claimed he visited child porn websites to track down paedophiles and attack them was jailed for two years yesterday. Dad-of-two Michael Baxter — who was caught with more than 3,000 indecent images on his PC in a police raid in March — told cops a relative had been sexually abused and he wanted revenge. The 41-year-old claimed he traded the horrific pics — some showing kids as young as six months being tortured — with paedophiles in a bid to meet them, the High Court in Glasgow heard. Prosecutor Alex Prentice QC said: “He said he gained the trust of three individuals in an effort to meet them and assault them. He said he wanted revenge.” IT supervisor Baxter — who worked at Polmont Young Offenders’ Institution in Falkirk — pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing child porn over a six-year period. Caging Baxter, of Bathgate, West Lothian, judge Lord Brailsford said: “The offences to which you have pled guilty are distressing.” Baxter was also put on the sex offenders’ list.
