Norfolk Woman Sentenced for Stalking and False Abuse Allegations

NORFOLK WOMAN SENTENCED FOR STALKING AND FALSE ABUSE ALLEGATIONS

At 37 years old, Meenakshi Wilson became involved in a case where she falsely accused her ex-partner of being a pedophile and hindered him through extensive harassment, including hundreds of calls and messages.

She threatened to destroy his life and to take her own life if her efforts were unsuccessful.

Earlier this year, Wilson’s short four-week relationship ended, and she responded by initiating a harassment campaign after her partner wanted to end it.

She falsely alleged that he had sexually abused his own children, posted accusations on Facebook, and sent numerous threatening messages.

In June, she contacted the man’s ex-wife, claiming he was a pedophile and threatening to go to his workplace.

She also made a false report to the NSPCC, alleging improper behavior towards his own child.

On June 13, Wilson was arrested and confessed to her conduct, stating her intention was to 'make him suffer.' She admitted to stalking causing significant alarm or distress and received a two-year prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, at Cambridge Crown Court.

An indefinite restraining order was also issued against her, barring her from contacting the victim, his relatives, or entering the Norfolk area where he lives.

Judge Mark Bishop highlighted that Wilson posed 'serious harm' to current and future partners and their children, noting her diagnoses of autism, ADHD, and borderline personality disorder but confirming she understood the nature and impact of her actions.
