EDINBURGH MAN ACCUSED OF SEXUAL ASSAULTS AND VOYEURISM IN AYR
A man named Max Johnson, aged 32, is accused of sexual assaulting two women, risking transmitting a sexually transmitted disease to one a of the victims.Court proceedings allege that Johnson attacked one woman by seizing her, throwing her across a room, and causing her to land on the floor at an address in Edinburgh on October 11, 2020.
Prosecutors claim that he pursued her by seizing her clothing, pinning her against a railing, and pushing her on the body.
It is further alleged that Johnson sexually assaulted this woman twice while she was sleeping and incapable of giving consent in October 2020.
Additionally, he faces a charge of engaging in a course of behavior deemed abusive, including controlling and emotionally manipulating a woman or ex-partner in Ayr in 2023.
Court papers note that he threatened to end the relationship if she did not satisfy him sexually, thereby coercing her into sexual activity.
He also allegedly engaged in unprotected sexual intercourse, knowing he carried an STD, in violation of legal provisions.
Johnson also seized her wrist and took her house keys, leaving her house insecure.
The charges extend to multiple occasions from April to October 2023, where he is accused of carrying out sexual assaults when the victim was asleep.
Furthermore, Johnson is charged with observing a third woman during a private act at Viva Sun tanning salon in Ayr in August 2023 by covertly placing a camera phone beneath a tanning stall to film her in her underwear, for sexual gratification or to humiliate and alarm her.
Bail was continued for Johnson, who resides in Auchingane, Redford, Edinburgh, and he is scheduled to face the allegations again at a later date.
