Matthew Frary

Bradford Sexual Abuser

September 2018 Pervert jailed for 27 months for trying to meet a young girl A pervert is wrestled to the floor screaming obscenities as he tries to flee from paedophile hunters who lured him into a sting at a busy train station. Matthew Frary, 36, of Bradford grappled with his captors and shouted “get the f*** off me” before being pinned to the ground by members of online paedophile hunting group Predator Exposure. Frary had planned to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex at Bradford Interchange after sending sick messages saying he wanted to abuse her in the bath. But the girl was actually an adult posing as a child online to snare predators. Stunned onlookers gathered to watch as the foul-mouthed pervert was taken down by the paedo hunters when he went to meet his intended victim on April 8. Video of the sting shows Frary, in a grey Nike hoodie, desperately struggling as the team grab his arms and tell him he is under citizen’s arrest. As he is forced to the ground he tries to pull free and hides his face with his hood when he sees the camera. He then starts banging his head alarmingly against the concrete – prompting a member of the public to step in. The group lay a coat on the ground under the suspect’s head to stop him harming himself, then begin to interrogate him. Frary furiously denies attempting to meet a child and claims he is there to meet his girlfriend. He says: “Listen, I’m asthmatic. Get off me, I can’t f****** breathe. I’ve got f****** asthma.” The leader of the group tells him: “You’re not going nowhere. You’re gonna be arrested by the police.” Desperate Frary calls out to members of the public: “Get the police. These are assaulting me.” But one of the men replies: “No, you came to rape a child.” Frary is then frogmarched to the exit, shadowed by railway security guards. As they walk, he tries to grab the camera of the woman filming and snarls: “You think you’re clever ’cause you’re stood there with a f****** video. “You’re playing a game, you’re playing as a kid.” More ugly scenes follow outside as the group claim Frary is attempted to delete messages and snatch his phone away. The suspect then grabs hold of one of the men and is bundled to the concrete screaming before cops arrive and take him away in handcuffs. Yesterday at Bradford crown court Frary was jailed for 27 months after pleading guilty to attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity. The perv, of no fixed abode, initially denied the charge and was due to stand trial before changing his plea. November 2009 Sex fiend Matthew Simon Frary jailed for Bootham assault A VIOLENT dog walker who subjected a woman to a sex ordeal has been jailed for 18 months. The victim “must have thought she was going to be raped,” when stranger Matthew Simon Frary, 27, grabbed her as she waited for her husband in Bootham, York, said Judge Scott Wolstenholme. Simon Kealey, prosecuting, said the late-night groping affected the woman so much she was off work and had sought medical help. “This was a frightening offence,” the judge told Frary at York Crown Court. “Before you stopped, she must have thought she was going to be raped. A stranger coming up to her assaulting her like this – it has had a devastating effect on her. “This was aggression against a defenceless woman for no good reason.” Frary, of Peterhill Drive, Clifton, York, was jailed for 18 months and must register as a sex offender for the next ten years. He initially denied an offence of sexually assaulting the woman, but changed his plea after she attended court to give evidence against him on October 8. He had previous convictions for violence, and in 2004 was jailed for three-and-a-half years for trying to rob a chef outside Totos in Fawcett Street, York. Mr Kealey said in August 2008, the victim spent the day in York with a family friend. Late in the evening, she had phoned her husband to pick her up and at 11.30pm she was waiting by a telephone kiosk in Bootham for him when Frary approached with a dog. “He said: ‘What is a nice girl like you doing here?’,” said the barrister. Then Frary grabbed the woman and sexually assaulted her before walking off. But a police officer had seen him walking his dog earlier and matched him to the attacker’s description. Police also obtained DNA evidence against him.
