MATTHEW FARMER'S BRUTAL MURDER OF STACEY CLAY IN NOTTINGHAM REVEALED

In a tragic and violent case that has shocked the community of Nottingham, Matthew Farmer has been found guilty of the murder of his former partner, Stacey Clay. The incident took place early in the morning on May 19th, when Stacey, aged 39, was discovered in her back garden on Andover Road, Nottingham, having suffered a brutal attack that ultimately led to her death.

According to court proceedings, Stacey was strangled and stabbed 21 times in her back yard. The attack was described by the court as 'sheer ferocity,' highlighting the extreme violence inflicted upon her. The evidence presented during the trial included CCTV footage, which captured the severity of the assault. The footage, set up by Ms. Clay herself just days before her death, showed the moment when her attacker, later identified as Matthew Farmer, launched his assault.

Matthew Farmer, aged 42 and a security guard working at a supermarket, resided on Logan Street in Nottingham. Despite initially denying the charges, he was convicted by a jury at Nottingham Crown Court after less than an hour of deliberation. The court's decision was based on compelling evidence, including the CCTV footage and the extensive injuries sustained by Ms. Clay.

Prior to her death, Stacey and Farmer had shared a relationship for 15 years, during which they had two children together. However, the relationship ended in April, just weeks before the tragic incident. Following their breakup, Farmer's behavior became increasingly threatening. Witnesses reported that just hours before the murder, Farmer was seen entering her garden, and Ms. Clay herself reported seeing him 'prowling around the window.'

Authorities had previously searched Ms. Clay's property but did not locate Farmer at that time. The turning point came when Farmer emerged from behind a barbecue while Ms. Clay was in her garden, at which point he launched his attack. Stacey was rushed to the hospital, where she remained in intensive care until she succumbed to her injuries two weeks later.

The court confirmed that Farmer, who lives on Logan Street, is scheduled for sentencing shortly. Prosecutors described the attack as violent and brutal, emphasizing the evidence from CCTV footage and the numerous injuries inflicted upon Ms. Clay. The sentencing hearing is set for the upcoming day, bringing a measure of justice for the tragic loss of Stacey Clay in Nottingham.
