October 2019 Man sentenced for non-recent sex offences – Slough Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been jailed for over 20 years after being convicted of non-recent sex offences. Martin Clifford, aged 45, of Chatfield, Slough, was sentenced to 21 years’ imprisonment on Wednesday (2/10) after being found guilty by unanimous verdict of 14 counts after a nine day trial at Reading Crown Court. There were five counts if Indecency with a Child under 14, and five counts of Indecent Assault on a Male Person under 16. There were also two counts of Indecent Assault on a girl under 16, and two counts of Rape of a Child under 16. The incidents took place in Slough and Horley, in Surrey against four separate victims between 1988 and 1997. Clifford was charged on 15 February this year, and then convicted on 26 September.
