A man has been jailed after being convicted of rape in Slough.
Travis Moore, aged 37, of Great West Road, Hounslow, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Monday (6/7) to 12 years and nine months’ imprisonment.
He will serve nine years and nine months in custody, with the remainder on licence.
Moore, 36, of Great West Road, London, was initially charged in connection with an incident at the Godolphin Recreation Ground in Slough at about 01:30 GMT on Sunday.
He was arrested on Sunday and charged the following day, remanded into custody.
The conviction relates to a rape that took place between 11.30pm on 1 November 2025 and 1am on 2 November 2025 in Baylis Park, Slough.
On that date, Thames Valley Police received a report from a teenage girl that she had been raped by an unknown man.
Officers attended immediately and located Moore nearby.
He was arrested on 2 November 2025 and charged the next day.
The case was tried at Reading Crown Court over five days, culminating in a unanimous jury verdict on 5 May 2025.
Detective Constable Laura Bevan of East Berkshire CID paid tribute to the victim, praising her courage and resilience.
She emphasized Thames Valley Police’s commitment to tackling violence against women and girls and supporting victims.
Moore was remanded in custody and appeared at court for sentencing, which took place on 6 July.
