MARK AGYEMAN-ANAN CONVICTED IN HASTINGS AND LEWISHAM CASES

Mark Agyeman-Anan, born around 1995 and formerly residing on Elfrida Crescent in Catford, Lewisham, London SE6 3EL, with connections to Portslade and Hove, and reportedly currently living in Hastings, has been convicted of animal cruelty. He previously left three dogs in a hot vehicle without access to water.

Agyeman-Anan was photographed leaving court, as reported by Brighton and Hove News.

In September 2012, his mother, Deborah Yeboah-Adjei, received a 10-year ban on owning animals after allowing nine dogs and puppies to fight each other inside their family home, which was found to be filthy and strewn with faeces. During the court hearing, she claimed the dogs belonged to her son, but she took full responsibility, and Agyeman-Anan faced no punishment at that time.

Those dogs were later rescued from the Lewisham family home and were found to be covered in wounds, scars, and mange. One dog, tied to a radiator, was helpless and attacked by others, while another had multiple bites to its face.

Fast forward ten years, Agyeman-Anan was banned from keeping dogs for five years after leaving three bull terrier-type dogs named Prince, Dior, and Caramel in a van in Portslade on a hot summer day, unattended for two hours. He denied three charges of causing unnecessary suffering but was found guilty after a trial.

He was convicted of leaving the dogs without water and failing to check on their welfare. A fourth charge of possessing a dangerous dog was dismissed after an expert testified that Caramel is not a pit bull terrier, meaning she will not face destruction.

The court sentenced Agyeman-Anan to a 12-month community order including 120 hours of unpaid work, five days of rehabilitation, and ordered him to pay £10,000 in compensation. His five-year ban on keeping dogs will last until July 2027.
