FORMER REALITY TV STAR ACCUSES MARCELO OLIVEIRA OF SEXUAL ASSAULT IN BIRMINGHAM
A former reality TV personality has come forward with allegations against Marcelo Oliveira, a 45-year-old masseur, accusing him of sexual assault during massage sessions.The complainant claims that Oliveira behaved inappropriately and showed her explicit photos of other women, including celebrities.
Oliveira is presently on trial at Birmingham Crown Court, facing 22 counts of sexual assault and six additional sexual offences.
He is accused of using his seemingly successful massage business as a cover to commit these acts against ten female clients.
The woman, whose identity remains protected by legal restrictions, described feeling 'petrified' after Oliveira allegedly groped her following a massage session she had invited him to perform at her home.
She testified that during the assault, Oliveira engaged in inappropriate conduct, including 'grinding' against her and breathing heavily in what she perceived as a sexual manner.
She stated, "I was left petrified when he groped me after I invited him into my home." The victim explained that Oliveira claimed to be providing lymphatic drainage massages after cosmetic surgery, and that they had arranged for him to visit her in exchange for promoting his services on her Instagram account.
The court learned that her initial meeting with Oliveira was shocking due to his physicality and the atmosphere he created with soothing music and essential oils.
Oliveira also allegedly took photos of her under the guise of documenting her progress for potential future procedures.
Regarding the massage sessions, she noted, "He touched areas I was uncomfortable with, including my inner thighs, claiming these were lymph nodes.
When I questioned his touch, he dismissed it as part of the massage technique." The jury was further told that the situation worsened with her stating, "His fingers went inside my vagina—he was above me, making his presence felt in an inappropriate way." The prosecutor stated, "This case ultimately revolves around Oliveira's exploitation of the massage therapy setting to perpetrate acts of sexual violence and assault against these women." He emphasized the seriousness of Oliveira's actions, which allegedly included not only unwelcome physical contact but also overt sexual advances.
Oliveira has denied all allegations, insisting that he provides lymphatic drainage massages.
The trial continues as the court examines the evidence.
