MAN JAILED FOR 15 YEARS FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING TWO CHILDREN

A man has been sentenced to prison after subjecting two young girls to ten years of ongoing sexual abuse.

Macauley Clark, aged 27 and residing on Victoria Road, received a 15-year jail term following his trial at Hull Crown Court.

He was convicted on 18 counts of sexual misconduct, with 15 of those offences occurring when the victims were 13 or younger.

The charges encompassed rape, digital penetration, repeated touching, attempted rape, and inciting a child under 13 to participate in sexual acts.

During the trial, it was revealed that Clark began abusing the girls when he was approximately 11 or 12 years old, and the misconduct persisted for a decade.

He would undress his victims, claiming it was “just a game,” and referred to his actions as the “tickling game.” A statement read out by one of his victims said: "He selfishly took all of my firsts away from me and I will never get them back.

"Even if I do manage to find someone that I trust, I will always have the horrible memories of what happened in my life.

This has affected the friendships I make and my social life.

"This is because I feel anxious and self-conscious that anyone would look at me provocatively and take advantage of me, just as he has.

I rarely go and socialise with friends, which just makes me feel more lonely and insecure.

"One of the biggest things is that I have had to stay silent after finding the courage to come forward.

I had to act normal and put on a smile when it has been far from it."
