Northamptonshire Police launched a thorough investigation into the allegations after the girl, demonstrating remarkable bravery, reported the abuse to authorities.
The police’s Child Abuse Investigation Team, which is specially trained to handle such sensitive cases, took immediate action.
Following the report, Bradshaw was swiftly arrested and brought into custody.
Initially, he denied all accusations, attempting to dismiss the allegations as false.
However, the case took a significant turn when Bradshaw was charged with multiple offences.
He later pleaded guilty to possession of indecent images of children and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
These admissions led to a trial at Northampton Crown Court, which commenced in May 2023.
During the trial, the prosecution presented evidence for twelve additional charges, which Bradshaw contested.
After a careful deliberation lasting approximately five hours, the jury found Bradshaw guilty on all counts.
The verdicts included two counts of child rape, two counts of sexual activity with a child, two counts of assaulting a child under 13, two counts of assault by penetration, two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, and two counts of sexual assault.
The severity and multiplicity of these charges underscored the gravity of his crimes.
Following the conviction, Bradshaw appeared once more in Northampton Crown Court on July 26, where he was formally sentenced.
The court handed down a 20-year prison term, reflecting the seriousness of his offences.
Additionally, he was subjected to an extended licence period of three years, which imposes strict supervision conditions upon his release.
Furthermore, the court issued an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), designed to prevent any future harm and enforce strict restrictions on his conduct.
