PAEDOPHILE HANDED 12-YEAR SENTENCE AFTER CONFESSING TO CHILD SEX OFFENCES
Lukas Stribrny, aged 37, handed himself in to police and confessed to attempting to have sex with two young children, including a seven-year-old boy.He was first arrested in 2019 after being caught trying to sexually abuse a young boy when the boy's mother walked in on Stribrny inciting the child into sexual activity.
Although he was interviewed then, proceedings did not continue until December 2021 when he voluntarily surrendered himself to police.
During court proceedings, prosecutor Andrew Espley revealed that Stribrny had expressed himself as attracted to children and had moved to London to sell sex to survive.
He admitted to trying to engage in oral sex with a boy and had attempted to incite sexual activity with the children four or five times in Leeds.
The court heard that Stribrny had no prior convictions but had previous cautions for theft and actual bodily harm in 2016.
Stribrny was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and responded well to hospital treatment, but his mental health deteriorated, and he posed a risk to children.
He showed genuine remorse for his actions, and the court sentenced him to a total of 12 years eight in custody and four on extended license with a hybrid order to continue treatment in hospital until he is well enough to transfer to prison.
