IPSWICH MAN LOUIS PAGE SENTENCED FOR INDECENT IMAGES
A 37-year-old Ipswich man who was found in possession of hundreds of indecent images and movies of children and kept children’s underwear in a safe has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Police officers acting on information from the National Crime Agency went to 37-year-old Louis Page’s home and seized devices including a mobile phone and a hard drive, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
When the devices were analysed experts found 322 indecent images and 40 movies in the most serious level A category, 223 images, 223 images and 20 movies in category B and 80 images and 1,000 movies in the least serious level C category.
Page, of Oldfield Road, Ipswich, admitted three offences of possessing indecent images and movies of children and one offence of distributing three indecent images.
In addition to a 21-month prison sentence suspended for two years he was given an 18-month mental health treatment programme.
He was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for ten years and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for the same period.
Nicola May, for Page, who has no previous convictions, said the offences date back to August 2021 and he had not reoffended since then.
At the time of the offences he was lonely following the break-up of a relationship.
He also had a history of depression and would benefit from some work on his mental health.
