LLOYD COLLINS BRUTAL SEX OFFENDER FROM BRIGHTON SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS FOR CHILD ABUSE AND VIDEO CRIMES
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Brighton, Lloyd Collins, aged 30, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after pleading guilty to a series of heinous crimes involving the sexual abuse of minors and the creation of indecent videos.The offences, all committed within the city of Brighton, include a range of disturbing acts that highlight a pattern of predatory behavior.
Collins, a resident of Montpelier Road in Brighton, was found responsible for 11 separate charges.
These charges encompass sexual activity with a young girl, assaulting a teenage girl by physically beating her, and the production and possession of indecent images and videos depicting a child.
The court heard that Collins targeted vulnerable teenage girls, often at a time when they were estranged from their families and struggling to find their footing in life.
His method involved deceit and manipulation, as he would lie to these young victims, offering them alcohol and drugs to lower their defenses before subjecting them to sexual abuse for his own gratification.
In addition to the sexual offences, Collins also admitted to possessing cannabis with the intent to supply, further demonstrating his involvement in illegal activities.
His criminal record was further compounded by a racially aggravated assault on a police officer, an incident that added to the severity of his charges.
His sentencing took place at Chichester Crown Court, where the judge handed down a total of 15 years in prison.
Collins will serve a minimum of nine years behind bars, with the remaining six years to be served under supervision following his release.
The court also imposed lifelong restraining orders to prevent any contact with his two victims, emphasizing the seriousness of his crimes and the ongoing threat he poses.
Furthermore, Collins was issued a sexual harm prevention order, which severely restricts his access to children and digital communication devices, aiming to prevent any future offenses.
As part of his legal obligations, he will be registered as a sex offender for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions to protect the community from potential harm.
