SYRIAN MAN, 35, CHARGED AFTER WOMAN, 21, ‘RAPED’ IN BRIGHTON
Bilal Alkadour, a 35-year-old man from Syria, faces multiple charges after a 21-year-old woman was reportedly raped on the Brighton seafront in East Sussex around 2 a.m.
on May 3.
Following the complaint, law enforcement initiated an investigation.
Alkadour appeared in Brighton Magistrates’ Court on May 16 and was subsequently remanded into custody.
He is charged with sexual assault, assault by penetration, and the rape of a woman aged 16 or older.
The victim is receiving support from specialized officers.
Alkadour is scheduled to appear at Lewes Crown Court on June 15.
