LIAM BACON FROM BRADFORD SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES
A disturbing case involving a man from Bradford who engaged in heinous sexual misconduct against a young girl has culminated in his imprisonment.Liam Bacon, aged 31, was arrested by police authorities after they uncovered a troubling collection of digital evidence on his mobile devices.
An examination of his phones revealed a total of 49 indecent images depicting children, including one of the young victim herself, which she had been coerced into sending him.
The victim, a teenage girl whose identity remains protected for legal reasons, disclosed that Bacon’s abusive actions had a profound impact on her mental health.
She reported experiencing severe anxiety and persistent 'night terrors' whenever she attempted to sleep, illustrating the deep psychological scars inflicted by the abuse.
During the proceedings at Bradford Crown Court on Thursday, it was revealed that the girl had been compelled to testify against Bacon prior to his trial.
Ultimately, Bacon pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault and the production of indecent images of children, avoiding a lengthy trial.
Prosecutor Gareth Henderson-Moore detailed the sequence of events leading to Bacon’s conviction, stating that the sexual assault occurred in 2022.
According to the prosecutor, Bacon initially approached the girl with a proposition to earn money by participating in bikini modeling in the woods.
The girl found the request strange and refused.
However, Bacon persisted, offering her £15 in exchange for photographs of her in her underwear, specifically requesting images of her 'naked bum.' When she declined, he escalated his threats, which coerced her into sending him images of her making 'sex faces.' Bacon then transferred £35 into her bank account as payment.
Further intimidation led the girl to send a photograph of herself in her underwear, after which Bacon paid her an additional £30 when she left him a pair of her knickers.
Despite her repeated refusals, Bacon’s threats and coercion continued, causing significant distress to the young victim.
It was noted that Bacon, who resides on Micklemoss Drive in Queensbury, had no prior convictions related to sexual offenses.
Nevertheless, the court mandated that he register as a sex offender for life.
He was sentenced to 34 months in prison and was also subjected to a five-year restraining order, which prohibits him from making any contact with the complainant.
Additionally, he must adhere to the conditions of an indefinite sexual harm prevention order, aimed at safeguarding the victim and preventing further offenses.
