LEE/TERRENCE BROWN FROM GREAT SANKEY SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES IN WARRINGTON

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Warrington, both a father and his son have been convicted and sentenced for a series of heinous sexual offences involving two young girls aged 10 and 8. The offenders, Lee Brown and Terrence Brown, both residents of Freshwater Close in Great Sankey, faced justice in Liverpool Crown Court, where their crimes were detailed and their sentences handed down.

Lee Brown, aged 21, had previously been incarcerated for four years and four months in May 2023 following his conviction. His crimes involved grooming and repeatedly sexually abusing the two young victims. Prosecutors revealed that Lee exploited the fears of one girl by threatening her with the idea that Father Christmas would not visit her house if she did not comply with his demands. The court heard that Lee pleaded guilty to eight counts of sexual assault, which included multiple instances of oral rape and inappropriate touching. His actions were described as calculated and manipulative, targeting vulnerable children and exploiting their innocence.

Terrence Brown, aged 60, was also found guilty of multiple sexual offences and was sentenced to six years and six months in prison. His trial, which lasted four days, concluded with a conviction on 11 counts of sexual misconduct. The court established that Terrence had inappropriately touched both girls and had shown one of them cartoon pornography, further demonstrating his predatory behavior. During the investigation, which began on September 3, 2021, police received reports of sexual abuse involving the two girls in Warrington spanning from 2017 to 2021. The victims disclosed that both Terrence and Lee had sexually assaulted them separately, unaware of each other's involvement.

Throughout the legal proceedings, Terrence denied all allegations of sexual touching, maintaining his innocence. Conversely, Lee admitted to the abuse, claiming that his actions were driven by curiosity rather than malicious intent. The case highlighted the disturbing extent of the abuse and the betrayal of trust by two individuals who were supposed to be protectors but instead inflicted harm on vulnerable children.
