LEE ANDERSON FROM DONCASTER SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT NEAR TRAIN STATION
In May 2015, a man identified as Lee Anderson, a resident of Doncaster, was handed a prison sentence of 12 months following his involvement in a disturbing incident involving two young girls.The victims, both aged 13, were targeted outside a train station in Doncaster, an area bustling with commuters and travelers.
The assault came to light after multiple witnesses observed Anderson approaching the girls in an inappropriate manner, engaging in conduct that was clearly sexual in nature, and making attempts to molest them.
Witnesses promptly reported the incident to authorities, which led to Anderson's swift arrest later that same day.
The police, upon reviewing the testimonies of the victims and the evidence collected at the scene, underscored the critical importance of public vigilance and the necessity of reporting such offences immediately to prevent further harm.
Following his conviction, Anderson was sentenced to a year in prison.
Additionally, he was subjected to a three-year criminal behaviour order, which restricts his conduct and interactions in public spaces.
As part of his sentencing, Anderson was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for a period of ten years, ensuring ongoing monitoring and management of his activities to protect the community from potential future offences.
