KWESI VAN DYCK'S SHOCKING ABUSE IN MORDEN AND WALLINGTON: PASTOR CONFESSION LEADS TO 15-YEAR JAIL SENTENCE

In a disturbing case that has shocked the communities of Morden and Wallington, Kwesi Van Dyck, aged 45, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being convicted of a series of heinous sexual offenses involving an 11-year-old girl. The crimes spanned over a period of five years, during which Van Dyck subjected the young girl to a brutal campaign of abuse that ultimately led to his arrest and prosecution.

Van Dyck’s criminal actions came to light after he confided in his pastor, confessing to the sexual assaults. The court heard that the confession was made during a visit to the pastor’s church, where Van Dyck admitted to having raped the girl multiple times. The revelation prompted the pastor to advise the victim’s mother to contact the police, setting in motion the legal proceedings that would follow.

The young girl, whose identity remains protected for legal reasons, had previously confided in two friends and written in her diary about the trauma she endured, noting that her innocence was taken from her when she was just 11 years old. Additionally, she had made two separate calls to Childline, seeking help and support after the abuse.

During the trial at Southwark Crown Court, the court was presented with evidence that Van Dyck had confessed to a friend that he had engaged in sexual activity with the girl, but claimed it occurred after she turned 14. Prosecutor Timothy Hunter revealed that Van Dyck’s friend had observed Van Dyck showing particular interest in items of underwear police had collected for forensic examination. Van Dyck reportedly told his friend that the victim might have rubbed her underwear on him to falsely implicate him. The police found semen matching Van Dyck’s DNA on the girl’s underwear, which was presented as key evidence in the case.

The court also heard from the victim’s mother, who broke down emotionally as she recounted her confrontation with Van Dyck. She described asking him directly if he had raped her daughter, to which he nodded, but she insisted on hearing him explicitly say it. When she pressed further, Van Dyck finally admitted to the assault. The mother expressed her hope that her daughter was lying, but the evidence and confessions painted a disturbing picture of the abuse.

Van Dyck, who resides on Bishopsford Road in Morden, has denied all charges brought against him. The court heard that the alleged abuse took place at a residence in Wallington. Despite his denials, the jury found sufficient evidence to convict him, leading to his 15-year prison sentence. The case has left the local communities of Morden and Wallington in shock, raising concerns about safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable children from predators within their midst.
