KUCHAR RAHIM AND HEMIN SALIMPIRIK SENTENCED FOR GANG-RAPE IN BOLTON AND CAERPHILLY
In a harrowing case that unfolded across the regions of Bolton and Caerphilly, a woman was subjected to a brutal gang-rape after being drugged at the home of one of the offenders. The incident, which took place on November 24 of the previous year, has left a lasting scar on the victim, who was forced to recount her traumatic experience during the trial at Newport Crown Court.
According to court proceedings, the woman was lured to Hemin Salimpirik's residence in Abertridwr, Caerphilly, under the pretense of consensual sex.
Both Salimpirik, aged 33, and the woman had initially agreed to engage in sexual activity, but upon her arrival, she was confronted with the presence of four other men she did not recognize.
Salimpirik reportedly assured her that the others would leave, but instead, he led her into the kitchen and offered her a drink.
Unbeknownst to her, the beverage had been spiked with a drug intended to incapacitate her, rendering her unable to resist or communicate effectively.
The court heard that as the woman began to feel the effects of the drug, she experienced a strange sensation, feeling unable to move her head or limbs.
She insisted she was not intoxicated but described her condition as a feeling she had never encountered before.
It was at this point that Salimpirik allegedly initiated the assault, reportedly telling her to 'come to daddy' before the other men joined in the attack.
Despite her protests, including telling them to leave her alone and expressing pain, the group continued their assault, disregarding her obvious distress and inability to consent.
Judge Jeremy Jenkins, presiding over the case, stated that it was clear the group had conspired to have sex with her regardless of her state.
The judge condemned their actions, saying, “You treated her like a dog,” and emphasized that she was left semi-conscious on the kitchen floor.
The court described the scene as a calculated and callous act, with the offenders showing complete disregard for her well-being and consent.
Following the assault, the woman reported the incident to the police.
Both Kuchar Rahim, 35, from Bolton, and Hemin Salimpirik were arrested and charged with rape.
However, both men denied the allegations during the trial.
Rahim, who resides on Marlbrook Walk in Bolton, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, while Salimpirik received a sentence of 17 years.
The court also ordered both men to register as sex offenders for life.
It was revealed that two other men participated in the attack, while a fifth individual was present but did not intervene or assist the victim.
No additional charges were brought against these individuals, and their identities remain undisclosed.
The court heard that the victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been profoundly affected by her ordeal.
She has suffered from nightmares, developed fears for her safety, and was compelled to move house because she no longer felt secure in her previous residence.
Judge Jenkins highlighted Salimpirik’s role as the primary instigator, describing him as the orchestrator of the gang rape.
The judge’s stern sentencing reflects the gravity of the crime and the profound impact it has had on the victim’s life, emphasizing the need for justice and the protection of victims from such heinous acts.
