SEX OFFENDER JAILED FOR EIGHT YEARS
A man described as manipulative and devious, who sexually assaulted a child multiple times, has been sentenced to eight years in prison.Kevin Rawlings, previously residing on High Street in Spalding, appeared before Lincoln Crown Court on Tuesday, 23 July, following his conviction on 11 counts established in a previous trial in May.
The 58-year-old denied three charges of sexual assault and eight counts for failing to adhere to sex offender notification requirements, but a jury found him responsible for these offences.
The incidents occurred in 2021 and involved Rawlings violating strict conditions imposed due to prior sexual convictions.
Rawlings had been held in custody since his conviction until his court appearance yesterday, where he was formally sentenced.
He received an eight-year prison term, with the possibility of recall to prison within four years if he commits further offences after release.
