MAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST CHILD
A man from Bradford has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for multiple sexual offences committed against a minor.Kevin Low, aged 62, received his sentence on Monday at Newcastle Crown Court after being convicted of eight separate charges.
The crimes took place in Bradford between 1997 and 2003, during which the victim was a teenager.
The victim reported the abuse to the authorities in 2021, prompting an investigation by the Bradford Safeguarding Unit.
Low, who resides on Wealdhere Street, was also ordered to be listed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life and was issued a lifetime restraining order.
Detective Constable Stuart Barrows, the investigating officer, commented: “I want to commend the victim for the strength and bravery she has demonstrated throughout this process.
“I hope that this sentence provides her with some sense of closure and helps her to move forward with her life.”
