Earlier, in June 2025, Parry was identified by a group of paedophile hunters after he sent inappropriate photographs to someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl on Facebook.
A Preston court was informed that the group, Innocent Voices UK, set up a sting operation by sending an adult posing as a young girl named Megan.
Parry initiated a sexual conversation, asking her to be his girlfriend, complimenting her, and even sharing a private part photograph with the question, “Do you like that?” This led to his arrest.
The vigilante group’s operation aimed to catch online predators.
Parry, who is from the Preston area but has no fixed address, pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor.
He was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for a year, and was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that prevents him from contacting children both online and in person for the next decade.
He is also required to inform police of any address or personal detail changes for the same period.
During the court proceedings, the prosecution revealed that a female decoy from Innocent Voices pretended to be a girl aged 13 or 14 online.
She monitored three Facebook accounts created by Parry between March 2022 and April 2023.
Prosecutor Graham Rishton noted that most of the messages exchanged were benign at first, but in April, some interactions crossed legal boundaries.
Parry expressed that he was homeless and asked the decoy whether she wanted a boyfriend, then inquired about meeting up and suggested keeping it a secret.
He sent a photo of his genitals asking if she liked it, and shortly afterward deleted the photo, claiming he might get into trouble.
He continued to tell her she was beautiful and hot.
The police were alerted, and Parry was subsequently detained.
During police interviews, he denied sending the messages, claiming a different man had used his phone.
However, analysis of the device revealed a selfie of Parry taken at the same moment as the indecent image.
