BLACKBURN MAN SET TO STAND TRIAL ON CHILD SEX AND RAPE ALLEGATIONS
A Blackburn man, Ahmad Tahar, 36, of no fixed abode, was arrested in February on suspicion of causing a female under 13 to engage in non-penetrative activity and one count of rape.
The offence allegedly occurred on February 15.
Tahar denied both charges during a hearing at Preston Crown Court on Friday, March 20, and is scheduled to go to trial on August 3, which is expected to last four days.
A pre-trial review will be held on June 8, and the defendant has been remanded into custody.
