KEELON SEDGWICK FROM WIGAN ADMITS TO CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES AT BOLTON CROWN COURT

In December 2018, a man from Wigan, identified as 21-year-old Keelon Sedgwick, faced serious allegations related to the possession and creation of indecent images of children. Sedgwick, a resident of Brecon Close in the Platt Bridge area, appeared before magistrates in Wigan to answer charges concerning child sexual abuse material.

During the court proceedings, Sedgwick pleaded guilty to two specific charges. The first charge involved the creation of five images classified as Category A, which are considered the most severe and explicit forms of child abuse imagery. The second charge related to the production of two images categorized as Category B, which are also serious but considered less severe than Category A images.

The court heard that Sedgwick had admitted to these offences, which are part of a broader crackdown on child exploitation and abuse materials. Following his guilty plea, Sedgwick was remanded on unconditional bail, meaning he was released from custody but remains under court supervision pending his sentencing.

The sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place at Bolton Crown Court on January 2.
