KEAH GIBBS FROM NOTTINGHAM SENTENCED FOR THOUSANDS OF CHILD INDECENT IMAGES
A man from Nottingham, identified as Keah Gibbs, has been sentenced to prison after authorities uncovered a vast collection of illegal images depicting children.The investigation was initiated following Gibbs's arrest, during which he admitted to using images he had either created himself or downloaded from social media platforms to lure individuals with a sexual interest in minors.
Law enforcement officials conducted a thorough search of Gibbs's computer and discovered more than 9,000 indecent images.
Among these, a disturbing 1,733 were classified as Category A, representing the most severe and explicit forms of abuse.
The remaining images were categorized as 2,474 in Category B and 5,085 in Category C, indicating varying degrees of severity but all equally concerning.
Gibbs, who is 25 years old and previously resided on Pelham Road in Sherwood, Nottingham, pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the possession and creation of child abuse images.
His guilty pleas covered three counts of making indecent images of children, with the images created or downloaded between December 27, 2019, and October 14, 2020.
In addition to these charges, Gibbs admitted to possessing 427 prohibited images of children, along with seven extreme pornographic images, all within the same time frame.
Furthermore, he confessed to distributing 25 indecent photographs of children, including seven Category A images, between July 17, 2023, and January 16, 2024.
His sentencing took place at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday, August 16, where he was handed a prison term of three years.
The court also imposed a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, which restricts his activities and contact related to minors.
Additionally, Gibbs is required to sign the Sex Offenders' Register indefinitely, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions to protect the community from further harm.
