A man responsible for multiple acts of child sexual abuse has been given a custodial sentence.
In 2022, Alexander McClymont, aged 38, was identified after the victim came forward to reveal the abuse she had suffered.
After a detailed investigation, he was charged with several sexual offenses, which he contested.
Following a trial at Nottingham Crown Court, a jury convicted him of nine charges, including eight counts of sexual activity involving a minor and one of sexual assault.
The court was told that the abuse had taken place roughly ten years earlier.
On April 9, Thursday, McClymont was sentenced to nine years and two months in prison.
He is now living at Erewash Gardens in Top Valley, Nottingham, and has been placed under a lifelong sexual harm prevention order to prevent future offenses.
He will also remain on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely to monitor his activities.
