KARL BALL FROM BIRMINGHAM SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES AND FIREARM POSSESSION
A disturbing case involving Karl Ball, a man from Birmingham, has culminated in his being sentenced to prison for a series of heinous child sexual offences.
The 35-year-old former soldier, who gained some notoriety through his magnet fishing YouTube channel, was found guilty of grooming a 14-year-old girl via social media and engaging in multiple sexual crimes against her.
According to court proceedings, Ball used various online platforms to establish a relationship with the young girl, employing sexualised language and sending her explicit messages that referenced sexual acts and intercourse.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) detailed that he also shared sexually explicit photographs and encouraged her to send nude images, although she refused to comply with this request.
The court heard that the abuse extended beyond online communication.
When Ball met the girl in person, he inappropriately touched her and committed a sexual assault.
