Febuary 2004 Girl, 15, pregnant by chatroom lover A FORMER Wimborne man has been jailed for having sex with a 15-year-old schoolgirl he met over the internet after a court heard she is now expecting his baby. Justin Few, 23, twice picked up the teenager from her home in Surrey and took her to Dorset after the pair made contact through a chatroom. The girl’s parents alerted police the first time and the pair were found and she went back home two days after disappearing. But a month later they ran away together and were only caught after a police chase in Bournemouth when Few rammed a patrol car. Few was given a nine-month jail term on Friday after admitting having unlawful sexual intercourse with the girl and an added three months for an unrelated charge of handling stolen goods. A further charge of abduction was ordered to lie on file. Caroline Carberry, prosecuting at Guildford Crown Court, said a relationship developed between them after the girl saw Few’s profile on the web site on which he claimed he was 19. Few persuaded her to travel with him to Dorset in September last year. Miss Carberry said the girl told her mum she was staying with a schoolfriend overnight but when it became apparent that wasn’t true her parents reported her as a missing vulnerable person. Police found them at an address in Corfe Mullen. Few was arrested but no charges were brought against him. On October 24 Few went to her home and they returned to Dorset. Miss Carberry said over the next few days they were on the run before they returned to Bournemouth. They were caught after a chase with Few ramming the police car. Miss Carberry said that as a result of their relationship the girl fell pregnant and is expecting a baby in June this year. Katy Thorne, defending, said the girl originally told Few she was 16 and he only found out she was underage after they had had sex and he was first spoken to by the police. He felt they were like girlfriend and boyfriend. She said he has applied for a job while on remand and has organ-ised a flat for when he gets out. Few was also ordered to sign on the Sex Offenders’ register.
