NOTTINGHAM MAN CAUGHT WITH THOUSANDS OF INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
Children as young as five were abuse victims in thousands of indecent images recovered from a computer seized from the home of Julian Fisk, aged 52 and from Thames Street.Although he did not create the pictures and videos, the children depicted ended up online to be downloaded by depraved online users just like him.
The images and videos were found on the computer tower at his home in Bulwell.
Almost 5,000 images and videos were discovered, ranging from Category A, the most serious, to Categories B and C, as well as five extreme pornographic images, which included a woman and a dog.
Julia King, prosecuting, told Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday (August 22) that the children in the images and videos were aged between five and 15 years.
Fisk pleaded guilty to three charges of downloading the images and one of possessing pornographic images, and answered "no comment" in police interviews.
He was sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended for two years, 60 rehabilitation activity days, and 120 hours of unpaid work.
He will be on Maps for Change, a work-based resource for offender managers in the community, to assist with supervision for males convicted of sexual offenses.
Additionally, he will be on the sex offenders' register and subject to a sexual harm prevention order for five years.
When asked how many victims there were, Miss King said, "We must be looking at a very large number - in Category C, there were 3,000 accessible images." Nick Walsh, mitigating, highlighted that Fisk had no previous convictions, had previously worked, but was currently unemployed due to medical difficulties and awaiting surgery.
