NOTTINGHAM OFFENDER JAILED FOR MULTIPLE RAPES OF TEENAGE VICTIMS
Two victims of sexual abuse were praised for their courage after a man was sentenced to prison for raping them while they were teenagers.Jordan Hutchinson, aged 24, was convicted in April at Nottingham Crown Court of six charges of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
He received a prison term of 15 years on the following Friday.Nottinghamshire Police expressed their admiration for the bravery of both victims, describing them as 'vulnerable teenagers' when they were assaulted.
The police reports state Hutchinson assaulted the first victim during late 2019 and early 2020, and raped the second victim multiple times between summer 2020 and early 2021.The victims' testimonies, along with messages recovered from Hutchinson's mobile device, were crucial in securing the charges.
One victim described locking herself in her bathroom and calling a friend in a panic after being raped.Hutchinson, residing on Foxearth Avenue in Nottingham, denied all allegations, but a jury found him guilty.
Besides his prison sentence, he was issued an indefinite restraining order preventing contact with either victim and was placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for life.Detective Constable Laura Sunderland commented, "These two young women endured terrible sexual assaults at the hands of Hutchinson.
The successful conviction is thanks to their bravery and honesty.
The judge also praised them as courageous, articulate, and truthful."
