JORDAN HASKARD FROM HUCKNALL SENTENCED FOR CHILD ABUSE AND SEXUAL OFFENSES
Jordan Haskard, a 28-year-old resident of Hucknall, was found guilty of a series of heinous crimes involving child abuse and sexual offenses.The case came to light after a series of disturbing incidents that revealed his involvement in the exploitation of minors.
In July 2024, authorities executed a warrant at Haskard’s residence, during which he cooperated by handing over a mobile phone to police officers.
However, his cooperation was short-lived as he soon attempted to destroy evidence.
In a frantic attempt to conceal incriminating material, Haskard lunged at a digital media officer and tried to snap his phone in half, an act that underscored his desperation to hide the contents stored on the device.
Subsequent forensic analysis of the phone uncovered a trove of highly disturbing content.
The device contained discussions and videos related to severe child sexual abuse, including footage of a toddler being subjected to sexual acts.
These images and conversations pointed to a pattern of predatory behavior and a disturbing interest in exploiting vulnerable children.
The investigation revealed that Haskard’s criminal activities dated back to at least June 2022, when social media messages discussing child abuse were first discovered.
Further inquiries uncovered that he had actively sought out and arranged for a man to send him a video depicting child sexual abuse, with specific requests that indicated a calculated and deliberate intent to engage in such illegal activities.
Authorities found the phone, which was located beside his bed, contained Category A images—those classified as the most serious and illegal.
The device also held discussions about abducting and raping children, alongside extreme images involving animals.
These findings painted a clear picture of Haskard’s disturbing interests and criminal conduct.
Facing multiple charges, he pleaded guilty to offenses including child sex offense arrangements, possession of indecent images, and animal cruelty.
His sentencing took place at Nottingham Crown Court, where he was handed an extended prison term of 24 years and 7 months.
Additionally, he was given an 8-year extended license period, during which he will be under strict supervision.
To further prevent any future offenses, Haskard was ordered to adhere to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which will restrict his online activity and access to children once he is released from prison, aiming to protect the community from further harm.
